Hello!

For all East Dulwich Parents to be...Emily and Vicky are practicing midwives and their inspiration for The Group is based on years of caring for families through pregnancy and birth. Classes offered by The Group have been carefully crafted to prepare you for labour, birth, and the early weeks of parenthood.

The information, advice, and guidance provided by The Group is up-to-date, based on the most recent research, and underpinned by Emily and Vicky's first hand experience as midwives. They ensure that classes are stimulating, interactive and non-judgmental, and always make time for questions, ensuring that you can feel ready no matter how your birth story unfolds.

The Group also organise social events alongside classes, providing further time to get to know one another, and hopefully, make lasting friendships with other expectant couples from in and around East Dulwich.

Courses available for first time parents, second time parents and private classes.

Courses for first time parents take place in at The Lordship Pub on Lordship Lane- 6 week course held on Wednesday evenings from 7pm-9pm.

These classes are fantastic and I would highly recommend them to everyone. Ariadna is a font of knowledge, and she shares that knowledge in a digestible, non-judgemental and accessible way. The classes were reassuring and helpful. Ariadna and Vicky were down to earth, approachable and the classes were fun as well as helping you digest things. Plus, we were lucky to have a fab group of people and Ariadna really focuses on the social side too, which is such a bonus!

Thank you so much Ari, you were a godsend to me and really looking forward to catching up at the reunion.

    • You can get a card at the till, though, to get the discount. You don't have to carry it with you (or load it onto your phone), you can just get a different card each time. Not sure what happens if they notice 🤣
    • Yes..that may be the case but membership STARTING at £115 a month is still unafforable for many. Council gyms also have a large range of equipment and I had a  PT at Dulwich leisure centre when I was in Full Time employment who was incredible and even kept in contact during lockdown giving me a program I could do at home and checking in weekly at no charge or personal gain for herself. I dont doubt that Fit For may be a good gym (Its been in situ long enough so must be doing something right) However the cost of membership means it is affordable for the few not the many. If I could afford that kind of fee I would rather get a train to Canary Wharf and go to Virgin active where theres a pool and incredible classes and facilities
    • This sounds great 👍
    • We found a red TREK bike yesterday that had clearly been stolen and dumped. Would love to reunite it with its owner. Get in touch if you know whose it is.
