We've just been reading the flyers on Lordship Lane about the theft of a Streatham dog walker's van with dogs inside which were then unceremoniously dumped in the Sydenham area.

Does anyone know if the animals were recovered as the dog on the poster was said to be nervous and probably unable to find its way home.

Thanks.

I'm glad there are still flyers on Lordship Lane as the ones in Peckham Rye Park have been removed. These poor dogs have been missing for almost 3 weeks now. A professional dog walking company had their van stolen in SE27 with 5 dogs inside, this happened whilst the dog walker was in a house collecting another dog. Two of the dogs were dumped but as yet no sign of the other three. I know one of the owners and she is absolutely devastated as would any dog owner be in this situation. If people can pass on this information and keep a look out to get these dogs home where they belong.

Indeed. Feeling very sorry for the owners - plus, of course the lost animals. I'm wondering though if the owners had them chipped? Given the time now, it's likely that they weren't.

Thanks, Turtle. Do the owners do Twitter etc., I wonder? I know that when the little dog from the florists outside Herne Hill station went missing a few years ago, there was a very rapid/active social media campaign. Unfortunately (as far as I know), the dog was never found but it spread the word very quickly. Three weeks is a long time though.

    • Poor dog….how bloody stupid of owners who clearly have zero recall of their dog. Not good recall, don’t  let your dog off  the lead or have it on a long line. Why did you not hop over fence and get into water to try and rescue dog? Dies in cold water. Totally disgusted but then not surprised by people … No different from people walking their dogs on cliff paths when know might fall off…an  advised to keep on the lead.. do they pay attention….No… what is wrong with people? Don’t they have any common sense? And why wait for fire department? Not exactly strong currents like sea… RIP woofer… no sympathy for owners whatsoever…

The cost of the job was very reasonable. He’s installed temporary ceiling coverage following a leak until the ceiling can be repaired.   Highly recommend Andy and will be using again in very near future! 👍   Thanks Andy!  Andy 07564 194 363.
    • Another recommendation for Greg. Echoing pretty much everything everyone else has said. Friendly communication, good work, and clear pricing. Will be sure to use him again for any future plumbing needs! Thanks Greg!
