Just want to say thank you to the lady who stood at the end of Hindmans Rd this evening when I was frantically searching for my runaway 4 year old. In the heat of the moment (being said son's return after legging it completely around the block - including running up Barry Rd) I did not get a chance to thank you for looking out for him.

The police have now visited him and given him a good talking to. Fingers crossed he won't do it again to "look at the cars"!

I did exactly the same at that age and it was a sort of bravado of showing off to my mother how fast I could run,

and then she taught me what the back of her hand felt like.

She was distraught, and furious at the possibility of being seen as an unfit mother.

I never did it again as I was fiercely against capital punishment when administered upon me.

Probably a good thing I didn't give him a hiding. The police turned up 10 minutes later although they knew he had returned. Apparently it is standard practice to follow up on missing children calls. The police man gave him a brilliant talking to!

    • Another recommendation for Niko. Great communication, top guy, and super reliable and skilled - all at a fair price. Takes a lot of care in what he does and talks you through everything.
    • Some foxes are very tame. The foxes that live near the electricity sub-station thing on the corner of Calton and Woodwarde will happily walk up to you/passed you. They are some of the best looking foxes around so clearly being well-fed - glorious coats and bushy tails but interested in humans and keen to engage/be fed rather than being scared.
