Lovely spacious double room available to rent starting September 1st for ?600 plus bills.

We are an easy going but tidy and respectful couple looking for a new flatmate in our lovely home in East Dulwich. The available double room has a view of our garden and has lots of storage. It comes fully furnished with a bed, wardrobe and a built-in storage unit as well.

The house is really well located to local shops and buses connecting to Peckham Rye overground and East Dulwich station. It is within very close walking distance to Lordship Lane which has lots of nice restaurants, shops, markets, cinema etc. Also close to Peckham Rye park, Dulwich park etc. Lots of things to do in the area.

We are looking for someone respectful, clean and easy going.

Get in touch to arrange a viewing!

Good Morning,

Is this room still available? If so I would be interested in viewing. My names Xavier im a 26yr old professional that works in finance. I currently live in east dulwich so very much looking to stay local as I love the area! Did want to ask what the monthly cost of bills would be?

Regards

    • If the local archive doesn't suffice there's also the London Archives. I remember using what was then called the London Metropolian archive some years ago, and viewing Street Directories among other things  there. https://www.thelondonarchives.org/your-research/research-guides
    • You've sent me down a rabbit hole here! According to the 1909/10 street directory, 10 Whateley Road was the address for John Gibson, beer retailer.   He was born about 1860 in Walworth and his father, also called John, was a beer retailer as well. By the time of the 1891 census, John Gibson Junior had moved to 10 Whateley Road and described himself as a beer house manager. He was married to Margaret and had a son and a daughter. John and Margaret were still living at the address 30 years later when he described himself as a beer retailer. His mother's name was Charlotte Sarah and there is an entry from the same street directory as above for someone by that name described as a beer and wine retailer at 42 North Cross Road. This was most likely his mother, now described as a widow.   Hoping this is of interest.
    • A long overdue review for Niko who we have used a number of times over the years, sometimes to properly finish a job that other plumbers have not done properly. He thinks of everything! I only ever use another plumber if it's urgent and Niko is away. A really kind and thoughtful man and totally trustworthy

The coding session would be good but you need to book well in advance. Also grandson has been doing coding since 6 years old. He now has a 'mentoring role' at his primary school as his knowledge of this subject is years above his chronological age. Dates are still up in the air as their father is trying to juggle leave from a new job in the north of the country.
