Cattery Needed

We are planning to go away for 10 days to Italy and we were going to take our kitten with us however Brexit has impacted on taking domestic animals out of the UK. Thus the airline has changed it policy and no longer allows pets on board.

Our kitten is an 8 month Siberian who requires human company for the majority of the time so a cat sitter would not work for us. She has more dog like traits rather than cat.

Can anyone recommend a cattery where the cats have a lot of human contact?

Thanks

I don't know of any airline which allows pets to travel in the cabin into or out of the UK (nothing to do with Brexit) - I've tried in the past and have been told they can travel in the hold or with a specialist pet transport company; you can't take pets on Eurostar but you can on Eurotunnel and on ferries (but they have to stay in the vehicle) - only assistance animals (guide dogs mainly) are allowed in the cabin of planes... Please correct me if I'm wrong...

I also agree with the comments about being cautious about getting insurers involved and I’m in the Insurance Post Magazine this week discussing this subject. I have written a blog on my website about it too. It’s a huge problem which is currently escalating enormously. UK Subsidence (clay shrinkage and trees) Fb group has experts on it (incl myself) giving free advice and is a useful resource. My Insurer has withdrawn subsidence cover.pdf

At best I have people who detest Trump shrugging and saying something like “what ya gonna do?” Like that is any kind of answer what we gonna do is condemn, and watch out for same happening here - and watch out for all the handmaidens who would allow this to happen.  Apologists for Farage, Jenrick etc
