Decking recommendation - Stephen Young

I recently had my decking renewed in my 2 bed property in Herne Hill and can thoroughly recommend Stephen Young. He was quick to respond to my initial query, came round when he said he would to assess the job, was polite and friendly, and provided a quote within a day or two. The quote was much more reasonable than others I had received (from companies also recommended on this forum) and was in line with what I expected to pay for a c.15m2 good quality pressure treated softwood decking. Stephen fitted me in within 3-5 weeks of being given the job and worked hard to complete everything within the time he quoted (c. 3-4 days). The job was completed in June and I am still happy with it. Stephen also made me a compost bin from the remaining deck boards.

  Most of the groceries shops in Lordship Lane have a security presence…curious thing is I and another woman recently saw a shop lifter lift and not pay for a couple of packet of steaks, veg and bottle of wine.. Literally walked Pat the tills, one member of staff and security guard despite someone else going in front by a few people and mentioning person in question! I have to say, speechless and admired their bravado - I would not have the guts and knowing my luck, if I accidentally didn’t put something tru the till despite receipt would prob get stopped! Yes, worked with families, homeless and other people who were struggling for food so I do understand why they do it.. sad when you think about it, that in this day and age, all sorts of c people need assistance and help from community in general, food banks, olio etc….

  Just not keen to have all these things in my body… having said that, thinking about Covid again as need to come to London to two hospitals for poss overnight stays.
