Recommendation for Pepe: Painter, Plasterer, Decorator

Recommended Posts

I would like to recommend Pepe, who is a painter, plasterer, can render and decorate.

Pepe is really well priced, reliable and does great work.

We've been using Pepe these last few months to finish off our house, inside and out.

He's a great guy and we're really happy with everything.

His number is 07417507393

I have also just had Pepe round to do some small jobs - external sanding down and painting and replacing a gate post.

He is responsive, punctual, fair and very pleasant. Based on my experience I would recommend.

On the 3 August I wrote a strong warning about using George Pistolea for any building work. Pepe is George's brother and he was the main builder on my property while George was working on another project. Pepe is a plasterer and he did a good job plastering, however he is not a builder/electrician but instead of telling me this, he built a roof which I have had to tear down and redo. The electrics were so badly done that I had to get another company in to rewire the house. The list goes on and on and you can PM me if you need details.

Pepe may do some good work for other people as the above recommendation states but I would advise you to stay clear away from these two. They are both responsible for costing me 10's of thousands of pounds of damage and repair work plus an utter lack of respect for my well-being and home. I will do all I can to prevent them from damaging other people's properties.

I would also like to recommend Pepe. He has been at my project over the last few months and has done some excellent work, plastering, rendering, painting, fixing my old wooden floorboards and other assorted jobs.

He is very reliable and hardworking, he listens and is very knowledgeable.

    • Hello! We are relocating abroad and so will be withdrawing our two children (ages 4 and 6) from St Dunstan’s College (Catford). If any family is considering enrolling children of a similar age, now would be an excellent opportunity—we’re required to pay full‑term fees unless the places are taken. Please get in touch if you’re interested or know someone who might be. Thank you!

    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
