Hello

Part time Nanny needed to look after 6-month old baby Stanley and nearly 3 yr old Margot on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Based in West Dulwich / West Norwood within 20 min walk of lots of different places. Margot will be at nursery during term time for part of each week (poss Wed and Thurs mornings).

Can be a nanny share or part time role, ideally looking for someone who wants to settle in for at least a year, preferably two. To start asap.

Working hours ideally 8:30am to 5:30pm with sole charge 9-5. Duties include caring for Stanley for most of the day, finding interesting things to do using local networks (e.g. Whippersnappers) and picking up Margot from nursery as required. Plus additional tasks such as children's laundry and preparing meals / purees etc.

We're looking for someone who is responsible, creative, caring and self-motivated, who can use their own initiative and experience to provide a stimulating environment for learning and play. We'd love to have someone who feels they can become part of the family. CRB clearance and previous professional experience of childcare essential, non smokers only, full clean driving licence an advantage.

If interested please send a CV and respond to the following:

- What childcare experience / qualifications do you have?

- What are your plans for working part time / do you need to work out a nanny share?

- What are your hobbies, interests and future plans?

Thanks!

Hi,

I currently work as a nursery practitioner and have over 2 years experience working with young children. I saw your ad for a part time nanny and I am interested in this role. I have many skills that I think would benefit for this role, I am responsible, motivated and caring individual. I enjoy planning creative activities that young children in my care can take part in and express their creativity. I am a non smoker and hold a Full UK driving license. I hope to hear from you soon.

Kind regards,

Sandra

    • Saw that too and was disappointed b/c it WAS a serene, green oasis - that footpath between Greendale and Dulwich Hamlet football stadium. I suspect it might be for safety of walkers after dark so it prevents people hiding there? I don't know.  It was vandals b/c someone cleaned it up 😂 It's depressing that so much urban landscaping (i.e. getting rid of anything green) revolves around averting crime rather than with officers on foot to prevent crime and proper follow up. Benches taken out to stop loitering etc.  Teens and early 20s kids who still live at home need somewhere cheap to get out to and socialise and just chill and drink tinnies and smoke - esp on warm evenings when it's beautiful outside. In addition - it's depressing that no one cleans up the parking lot where the car wash is - just a disaster area now, I see my kids scanning around when we walk through wondering what the heck is going on there.  Does anyone know who owns that land?
    • I loved the Woodhouse.  It's been awful for years.  I cycle up Sydenham Hill to go to Sydenham or Crystal Palace.
    • I'm lucky if I can afford fish & chips take away, let alone the prices in the Wood House.
