Dear family room members, I am an eating psychology coach, trained and certified by the Institute for the Psychology of Eating. I work with people on eating and weight concerns, and take a non-diet approach to weight loss and weight optimization which is brilliantly compatible with breastfeeding, pregnancy and indeed for anyone who cycles between diet willpower, guilt and self-loathe. As a mother of three, and as a former bulimic and binge eater, there is little that fazes me, and I offer an upbeat and compassionate approach to eating struggles. And I truly believe that the transition to parenthood is a wonderful, unique opportunity to end the battles with your own body and take a different, transformational approach to eating for the rest of your lovely life! If you are intrigued and would like to know more, I have attached funny illustrated pdf about my work, which includes a special reduced-fee offer to East Dulwich Forum members. All the best, Laura

    • There’s got to be something else happening in ED to stop this now very dull thread.
    • I think the East Dulwich one was one of the first ones after Brixton? It was very exciting when it first opened here, but yes they are all over the place now.
    • I see some possibly overloaded grandparents, with mobility issues, trying to help their overloaded daughter. They put some feelers out in anticipation of having to look after their grandson who, it seems, it extraordinarily smart and requires extra stimulation. A big ask all round. That they weren't yet aware of exact dates hardly warrants your complaints of time-wasting.
    • The shops selling gifts, interior stuff and clothes all sell different gifts, interiors stuff and clothes. They don't all have identical items, which would be ridiculous. It's a  completely different situation. The coffee shops and restaurants mostly also have different vibes, different food etc and cater to different tastes and pockets. The two empanada places have virtually identical displays of identical looking empanadas. I don't think anyone has suggested this move is "malicious" - that would make it even worse. Cheeky, yes, given the proximity to the first shop. I agree this is good advertising, though most people in ED probably don't look at the ED Forum (I stand to be corrected). Re the "organic grocer", if it's the one on the same side as Chango, yes their snacks are very tasty.  Unfortunately we were short changed there on several occasions when calling in late at night, and were once asked  a ridiculous price for a few items (with no price tickets on the snacks) so we don't go there any more. Hopefully these were all genuine mistakes, and hopefully things have improved since their refurb.
