Hi,

My name is Nicola and I live in Brixton. I have two boys, Luke aged 8 and Max aged 11. We are looking for a nanny/housekeeper who can collect Luke from school at 3.15 and be home when Max returns after school (3.30). Ideally we want someone who is confident and self sufficient, can take initiative, cook supper, do some light household chores (we have a cleaner), supervise homework, and take to activities if needed. We are a very relaxed family. My husband and I have both worked part time over the last few years and managed the children between us, but we are now increasing our work hours and Max starts secondary school so we need some help. The hours are generally 3-7, Monday to Friday but we would like the option of doing one 6pm -11pm evening. We have flexibility, and it would be great if you also had flexibility to do some extra hours if needed-obviously with advance warning. We can offer between 20-22 hours pr week at competitive rate for the right person. This is a permanent position but we would also be wiling to offer temporary work if this is not what you are looking for long term. please get in touch if this is of interest to you, and we are available all weekend to meet. The position is available immediately.

Thanks,

Nicola

Hi EdLiv

Are you still available? We are looking for an after school nanny to pick up our son who is at nursery and bring him home (which is a 100 yards from the nursery). The role is permanent but is only 10 hours per week. The times we are looking for is 5.15pm to 7.15pm which allows us a little flex to get home from work. If you are still available and are interested please get in touch.

Nasmin

    • Those three are all good calls, if you want classic 'Chinese' 148 is best of the bunch. Good value too. Last time we went we had set dinner and were so full after the starters we took pretty much everything else home and had it the following night (ok i confess, some for breakfast).
    • The whole point of a family meal is for us to celebrate the families birthdays and we have traditionally paid. Both daughters only work part time and have mortgages etc.  The food was good at the Vietnamese [lace but was spoilt by the overcharging of beverages. The 2 veggies usually share each other's food!  £30 per head is way too much especially given the children do not eat much. When you do a booking at £x per head that usually covers all adults and children and only toddlers sharing parents food go 'free'
    • Anything could have happened.  There may  have been a medical or family  emergency for all you know. In my experience Tommy Rooney has been an excellent communicator, and your description of him doesn't sound like him at all.
