Mike and Kurt did our outdoor lighting and workshop wiring. Not a small job by any means. A new circuit assembly from our fuse board. They neatly went through the 3 rooms needed to get outside, minimal impact, leaving everything very neat so just a bit of sanding and surface filing left for us to touch up with paint, and now we can't see where they made holes. Recommended us some products to do ourdoor remote controlled lighting.
Mike came to fix a light, move some old wires that were hanging out of the wall and cap off some plug points that we did not need anymore. He did all of this in less than an hour (which was quite remarkable) and to a very high standard. The price was very reasonable too. Overall we were extremely satisfied with the work! I would highly recommend Homecert to anyone who is looking for any similar work and I will definitely be using them again!

After reading a recommendation for HomeCert electricians a few weeks ago on the East Dulwich Forum, I called them out when water damage messed up my electrics. Someone came around incredibly quickly and couldn't have been more efficient and helpful. Many thanks!

Tidy and professional work from Mike and Kurt at HomeCert. Very happy with the works and getting some lovely comments on our ceiling lights. Neighbours enjoying our side lights too! (Should have asked them for a cut.) Nice tradesmen to have around and stayed late to complete the job which was really appreciated. Would always recommend them and glad we have used them for all electrics work in our house now.

I had no power at my flat and HomeCert kindly arranged an appointment on the same day for me. The engineer was really professional and nice, and they fixed the problem on the day. They explained everything to me throughout and made me feel well looked after. Very reasonable prices for the service!

Also highly recommend HomeCert for electrical work, they did a great job at refitting some old light fittings I wanted removing & replaced them with the new ones. Really happy. Professional, quick, good communicators. Would definitely look them up for any future electrical work I need.

Although I haven't used them them as I didn't start the project, HomeCert were very good to deal with when getting quotes. Very professional and the price was good.

I would contact them again and certainly use them over some of the really substandard sparkies recommended elsewhere on this forum.

Also highly recommend HomeCert for any electrical work: great communication, timely and professional quotation process. We had a few old lights replaced and the work was tidy, neat and carried out swiftly. Also provided useful advice for future work we intend to carry out in the property. I would be happy to use HomeCert in the future too!

I've been using Homecert for all my electrical work at my flat in London for several years.  They have done small jobs like this one ( fitting a new security light to the patio) and big ones like fitting a new consumer unity, and also tricky ones like investigating and sorting out a problematic power circuit. They are extremely reliable and efficient and the work is always of a very high quality. Communications with the office are, in addition, excellent. Their work is economically reasonable and properly costed. I cannot see myself bothering with any other London electricians as long as Homecert exists

Prominent Jewish figures around the world are calling on the United Nations and world leaders to impose sanctions on Israel over what they describe as “unconscionable” actions amounting to genocide in Gaza. Over 450 signatories, including former Israeli officials, Oscar winners, authors and intellectuals have signed an open letter demanding accountability over Israel’s conduct in Gaza, the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. The letter’s release comes as EU leaders meet in Brussels on Thursday amid reports they plan to shelve proposals for sanctions over human rights violations. “We have not forgotten that so many of the laws, charters, and conventions established to safeguard and protect all human life were created in response to the Holocaust,” the signatories write. “Those safeguards have been relentlessly violated by Israel.” ..."   There is also a petition we can sign to support them in their call for justice: Direct link: https://secure.avaaz.org/campaign/en/stand_with_jews_demand_action_loc_cp1/?tUwBCsb&v=502713833&cl=22394973010&_checksum=7dc99acb5dd4fc5a43a24e21772f51005ea239753e9ae3033d9f79ffd6119559 "For the first time since the ceasefire, a powerful coalition of Jewish voices have come together, urging world leaders to keep the pressure up until real accountability and freedom are achieved.Their call can shift the political mood and give leaders courage to act decisively -- Amplify their voices and stand with them: The demands of Global Jewish Voices: To respect and abide by the decisions of the International Court of Justice, noting their application also in the West Bank and East Jerusalem; to apply arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court; and to resist efforts to unduly pressure and influence and prevent the workings of both courts. To refuse any complicity in continued crimes and violations of international law against Palestinians by Israel, including by ending the provision of arms and other relevant goods and services; to use relevant leverage, including targeted sanctions on governmental bodies and individuals responsible for violations of international law, and suspension of relations with commercial entities contributing to these violations. To ensure that humanitarian assistance reaches all Palestinians in Gaza at the scale that is commensurate to their vital need, that the blockade is lifted and materials for reconstruction enter, and that there is a full Israeli military withdrawal. To refute false accusations of antisemitism that abusively deploy our collective history to tarnish those with whom we stand together in the pursuit of peace and justice. If you are of Jewish heritage you can also sign here, and we will add the number of your voices to support the Jewish call for justice. Posted: 22 October 2025"
    • I've actually met Luke Johnson and he's actually a very amicable, witty and extremely clever man. He's also created thousands of jobs and generated millions and millions of pounds of tax revenue for the government, offering goods and hospitality that countless millions of people have enjoyed over the decades. I'm not a fan of Gail's but I'm also not a fan of people who knock down good guys that have contributed a huge amount to this country.  Anyway, French Patisseries and southern hemisphere coffee don't belong on Farmer's markets.
