Bugaboo bee original 2007-2009 model.

I have attached the ebay listing which has just gone on and is on for 10 days. Please vintage [email protected] if interested of more photos needed.

I used this buggy until 6 months ago when I no longer needed it and kept in storage. The seat cover has been taken off and washed and is in perfect condition. The rain hood was brand new a year ago and has no holes or rips. The seat is still in good working use, front and back facing and can also be taken off if you are thinking of buying a new seat. The brake still works and the front 2 wheels were replaced about 12 months ago. The back wheels are punctured and will need replacing but are easy to find. The hood is still fine but used and will need cleaning but I'd recommend getting another one as one side has snapped and will need replacing. I can give you the name of a company that totally overhauls bugaboos while you wait and will also give it a service at the same time. The shopping basket underneath is still useable with no holes. I have the large seat liner but have misplaced the zipped muff so you'd need a blanket over the baby on cold days. The handles still go up and down easily and it is still easily collapsible. A fantastic buggy and once overhauled or new parts can be good as new!

Thank you.

We were going to see if we could make an offer as our own Bugaboo is pretty rickety and thought we could use yours for parts, or even ours for parts. But would like to get in touch with the person you know who fixes bugaboos first to see how much it would cost and whether it is even worth it - might be best to dump ours!

Would you be able to share his details?

Many thanks!

    • A new roadmap (surely railmap?!) for rail accessibility has been published: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/accessible-railways-roadmap It says "approximately 56% of stations and around 66% of the 1.3 billion journeys that take place on the network have step-free access to platforms...  "£373 million has been committed over the next 5 years to deliver Access for All projects, providing step-free access from station entrances to and between platforms, alongside other essential accessibility upgrades. These works, together, will increase the number of step-free stations across Great Britain from 56% to 58%. "This improvement will make travel easier with step-free access available at stations covering an increased share of total rail journeys – from 66% up to 71%" Don't know what that means for us here: upgrading Peckham Rye would cover a lot of rail journeys but the cost has no doubt increased from the £40m figure previously quoted. So that would eat into a lot of the funding.
