Gone STC Shut out those winter drafts - Secondary glazing FREE

An unusual post and potential bargain.

We are having new windows and doors put in throughout our house, and while the old single glazed sash windows are beyond saving, several have good quality secondary glazing over them which should be reusable. Excellent for warmth and soundproofing.

Additionally there is a set of double glazed French doors and a single UPVC door being removed, we cannot vouch for whether the frames will come out intact but the doors themselves should also be serviceable.

Measurements as follows, corresponding to photo of same number:

1. Secondary glazing 106 x 156cm

2. Secondary glazing 73 x 127

3. Secondary glazing 52 x 127

4. 2 x secondary glazing 82 x 156

5. French doors 140 x 196 across pair (excludes frame and top insert)

6. 2 x secondary glazing 82 x 165

7. 2 x secondary glazing 50 x 165 AND UPVC door unit 83 x 242 including integrated frame and top

All measurements width x height; secondary glazing measurements are the glazing plus immediate frame, they generally have c. 2.5cm width wood or plastic surrounds to finish.

All items free (or charitable contribution) as we are looking to reuse material rather than make money.

Items will become available from 19/09. Prompt pick up(s) would be your responsibility, from SE24.

    • What is it that makes Waitrose so special! Admittedly I have shopped a couple of times in the Orpington and Beckenham one - sometimes buying food which I cannot get else where. Their 'basic range' is not bad. Price for price and quality - M & S.
    • Sometimes a shed or other installation has to have written approval from the freeholder i.e. Southwark, Southwark has (or did have) a Leaseholder Association.   Could also come under Anti Social Behaviour Unit.
    • Love Dulwich is great but has a large step in front. We have only been weekdays at Lunch time. Maria's next to Picture House is disabled friendly. Also can reserve table in advance. We did a Sunday lunch catch up with family - there were 8 of us.
    • Hi, Thinking about  going with some friends and was just wondering if folk might like to report back please. Most importantly sound level when busy & is it disabled friendly.  Thinking on a Sunday lunchtime but don’t want a busy busy environment or loud chatter - a couple of friends could not cope. Time can be flexible, if that helps - say 2 ish to avoid above.. Thanks…
