Ikea Heimdal silver metal bed frame for mattress size 140 x 200 cm.

This bed has a contemporary simple design and is made out of silver powder coated tubular metal.

Comes with grey Ikea Sultan double mattress (optional)

The bed has a galvanised steel midbeam and sprung wooden slats, so is strong and comfortable.

It also has a good clearance underneath so is great for underbed storage.


Bargain price of ?30


Both the frame and mattress are about 6 years old. There are some minor imperfections:

- the metal has some discolouration where it's gone speckled - see pic.

- the slats have some black on them where they have rubbed against the metal (not visible)

- The mattress is fine but could do with a topper or something to make it more comfy.

- one of the screws in the frame is a but bent, but it screws in fine (also not visible)


The bed will be dismantled prior to collection. The frame is lightweight and very easy to put together.

Total width: 145 cm

Headboard height: 119 cm

Footboard height: 47 cm

Distance from floor to bed base: 27 cm

      A quick assessment on having a barter scheme amongst the community. An exchange of goods and services may be really helpful during these difficult times.    I wonder if it’s something that someone would be willing to set up separately and link to the forum? Or perhaps  an additional aspect of the forum itself if it was easy to include? I don’t have IT knowledge to set this up unfortunate, but I do have skills that I could offer. From past experience, it would probably work best as a direct exchange rather than coupon credit.    I may be flaunting the rules by posting on this twice, admin please feel free to delete one if this is the case.

      As they have been closed, either as an antique shop or a cafe, for a number of years, the words 'go whistle' spring to mind. They are history now.
