katie1997
around the exmouth market/ farringdon road area, there are plenty restaurants and bars you can try, a lot have outdoor seating where you can soak up the atmosphere (the italian places are fab in that area) (tu) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/12380-farringdon-on-a-saturday-night/#findComment-344470 Share on other sites
hibbs
Dollar, Medcalf and Caravan are all great restaurants on Exmouth Market and all have a lovely atmosphere at the weekend. LordshipLovely
OK, so if I aim for the Farringdon Road/Exmouth Market end instead of the Smithfield/Farringdon Tube end there should be lots of people about.... Jeremy
The Smithfields/Farringdon area is usually pretty busy on Saturdays too. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/12380-farringdon-on-a-saturday-night/#findComment-344513 Share on other sites
RosieH
Yes, agree with Jeremy. It's only the pubs on side streets that you're likely to find quiet. LordshipLovely
Great, thanks for the advice. It's a hard life having so much choice about where to go...! Ramble66
Moro on Exmouth market, definitely my favourite restaurant in London (but you have to book well in advance), Kick bars great too for a few beers/cocktails. But smithfield is also one of my favourite places. Marmora Man
Smiths of Smithfield is interesting different price bands on different floors - the higher you go the more polished the cooking and the higher the prices. I usually stick to the ground floor for a Sunday Brunch but dinners have been good in the upper reaches. Would also put in a claim for The Bleeding Heart - voted most romantic AND best business restaurant in 2007. It has a good back story and Bleading Heart Yard is where Little Dorrit used to live and visit in Dicken's novel. Mick Mac
The Bleeding Heart was disappointing the one time I went. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/12380-farringdon-on-a-saturday-night/#findComment-344898 Share on other sites
