Anyone bought a 'Little Big Bike'?

I'm thinking about buying my 3.5yr old a balance bike but have seen these adaptable Little Big Bikes (https://www.littlebigbikes.com) which are balance bikes that pedals can be added to later. Just wondered if anyone has tried them, any thoughts?

I'm being a bit lazy/tight perhaps but not sure I want to buy a balance bike then have to buy a pedal bike within the next year if he outgrows the balance bike/gets the hang of it and wants to progress to pedals...

i think you can take the pedals off a lot of bikes, so thats another option.
