Looking for nanny for after school pick ups and holiday care

We are friendly family looking for a caring, kind and experienced nanny to do school pick ups in term time and full days in the school holidays.

We live in Herne Hill and the schools are within walking distance in Dulwich village. My husband and I both work full time.

We have an 8 year old boy and a 6 year old girl.

During term time they would need help with homework, a healthy made for tea and perhaps some play dates arranged - the hours would be 3-7pm. (20 hours per week)

During the holidays hours would be 8.30am-6.30pm.(50 hours per week).

There are 13 weeks of school holidays in the year so it averages out at 27.5 hours of work per week and we are happy to pay this pro rata if preferred. If desired we could look to increase this to 30 hours per week (pro rata) by adding babysitting hours.

The start date is flexible but we are looking for someone to start before the end of the year - ideally next month. Salary would be competitive and dependent on experience but we are thinking around ?11 per hour.

Please get in touch if this is of interest and I can provide more details.

Kirsty

    • I would suggest ED, particularly the top ends of Upland and Friern Road, where the two roads meet. It's a no through road so basically makes it semi-private with no through traffic other than cyclists. The gardens are larger than your typical ED gardens, you are 1 minute to Peckham Rye park which is a great outside space with 2 great playgrounds and a decent coffee shop, plus the frequent busses up/down Rye Lane (12,197, 63 and 363) can get you to Peckham station in less than 10mins. On top of that you are only 5-7mins walk from Lordship Lane and all that has to offer, plus can easily get to Peckham for its fantastic restaurants (the best in South London) and bars.  You can get to the Dulwich schools driving or on the P13 bus at the end of the road. Or if it's nice weather, walk/bus up Barry Road and then a quick stroll through Dulwich Park.  You probably wouldn't need to pay your top budget either! But could do if you got one of the villas on Rye Lane itself.
