Recommendation for Mehmet Hassan - fencing / gardening

I want to recommend Mehmet Hassan who I found via this forum. He recently erected a fence in our back garden and he has done a terrific job. From our first interaction Mehmet was helpful & after coming to measure/quote, he gave me the option of sourcing the fencing materials myself or for him to purchase/bring it all with him for an extra ?50. I opted to order it all myself, but Mehmet made it so easy by emailing me a comprehensive list of materials, even down to the product codes at Wickes.

Unlike so many tradesmen Mehmet clearly understands the importance of good communication & he texted to let me know he would be 5-10 minutes late. He worked hard and the finished article is an attractive looking fence & gate that is so much more sturdy than the (also relatively new) fence we have at the front.

Mehmet offered to do some pruning of a huge sycamore tree in our garden for no extra cost. We declined, but gratefully accepted his offer to use some of the spare fencing wood to prop up the ledge of our conservatory that was threatening to snap.

Overall, I am happy to give a firm recommendation for Mehmet on the basis that he did a quality job for a very reasonable price.

His mobile number is 07910 754 636.

Just adding my recommendation for Mehmet here (rather than start a new thread).

I've been redoing my garden this summer, and Mehmet has helped me with a number of things. Most recently he converted my old shed into a covered seating area, but he has also helped with removing an overgrown shrub, fixing fence and trellis panels, pruning, and lots of little jobs that I either didn't have the tools or the knowhow to carry out myself - as well as offering lots of very helpful advice on choosing and looking after plants.

He has also picked up all the materials for me, since I don't have my own transportation - even coming back early the next morning to drop off something I forgot the first time. He always makes sure I'm happy with everything before he leaves, and his rates are very reasonable.

Highly recommended!

I would like to recommend Mehmet Hassan after doing both a fencing and gardening

job for me. Nothing was too much trouble for him and the end result was excellent.

He also makes sure that i am happy with what he has done before leaving.

    • Anywhere near the Overground/Windrush due to its excellent transport links.  You will get larger place in SE23 for example that will give you enough spare cash for private school if that's what you really want but states schools generally good, reflecting the demographic  Easy to get to the bustling streets of East Dulwich but in ten years see what happens to Forest Hill centre.  The whole of the area is full of green spaces. Access to East Croydon for days out in the South Coast
    • Could East Dulwich or Forest Hill work? Some properties on Underhill Road and Wood Vale have large gardens e.g.  https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/161079866#/?channel=RES_BUY  You'd be close to the Horniman, Dulwich Park and Peckham Rye. Transport might not be what you're looking for though e.g. a 15 minute walk to Forest Hill station for the East London line or mainline into London Bridge.
    • I would leave London, or at a push move back to north London. In SE London if you want to get away in a car you are trapped, always an hour to go the first 10 miles, chugging up to the M4 or round the south circular, which is really just a line someone drew connecting a load of roads. and I know there are trains but first you have to get to those mainline stations, unless you only want to leave London to go to Kent. which I don't.
    • It was you who  made it personal in the first place,  Jazzer. You said you didn't feel safe in the streets,  and you said you didn't go to Central London because you didn't feel safe there. So are you now saying that wasn't "personal"? "Fire from the hip." Another interesting choice of words 🙄 I'm not "demanding" anything! I asked you some perfectly reasonable questions in  response to your own statements. None of which you have answered. Never mind. It seems to be pointless having a discussion with you. It's long past my bedtime. I'm going to turn on my sleep app  and go to sleep 😴💤
