it would probably be a good idea to go easy on the chilli sauce (I'd say)

oh and to stay very much on topic, i hope you found something yummy rosieh.

I ordered a Chinese, to be delivered just as I arrived home.

Salt and chilli squid in bed is a new all-time high. And while I didn't wake up with my face in a kebab, there was an unopened carton of sesame prawn toast on the floor this morning.

But I think this is an important question. Which takeaways best retain their heat in journey from Lordship Lane (or wherever they happen to be) to home? Curry good. Burger? I imagine not so much. Pizza maybe.

Anyone know the physics of heat retention in take away food stuffs? (that's really what I was, ineloquently, trying to get at last night).

No - sorry,

Curry is the best for staying hot, followed by Chinese (although preferably things in sauce as opposed to stirfry noodles). Fish and chips rank up there on the 'stay hot' but batter does tend to go soggy...

I never think pizza stays hot very well - and pizza is one of those things that's best either scaldingly hot out of the oven or once it's been left to go entirely cold.

What what, ganging up on me boys?

Mick, I know you like it when I tell you off, and believe me, sometimes my inner dominatrix likes it too. But in this instance you said nothing to suggest that the little women should stay indoors, particularly during "tin hat week", so what could possibly raise my ire? Your not knowing whether dim sum stay hotter than pad thai? Come come...

    • I’d also recommend Paul for electrical work. He came round the other week to help us out with a handful of jobs (installing an SPD, new light fittings, installing a dimmer switch, a bathroom fan). His quote was cheaper than what I got from others, he turned up on time and he got the job done quickly.
    • We’d like to add our recommendation for Lukasz and team at L&L Building & Maintenance.  Lukasz has recently installed a roof terrace for us, and we’ve found him a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We contacted about a dozen recommended builders and found his quote very competitive. During the build his team delivered quality work, they were no hassle in the house at all and they kept the place tidy every day. The terrace looks great, and we’re very happy customers. What stood out in particular was Lukasz’s responsiveness, right from discussing quotes to follow-up during the build. Lukasz often checked in and was always available when we needed him.  We’ll definitely contact Lukasz again for future building work and we’d happily recommend him to others looking for a reliable builder.   Lukasz Kugaczewski L&L Building & Maintenance 07926651960 [email protected] www.landl-build.com
    • Yes, I did mention the train, which I now get from East Dulwich to Guys instead of the 40. Depends where in East Dulwich you are starting from which route is easiest! I think it is probably lack of staff rather than lack of hospitals which is the problem?
    • What can be done? How about reporting it to the police?
