"You're way ahead of the curve, KK."

Just got pool sucked out. The terminology from the guy who came was fun.

The cess pool is 8ft deep and 6ft by 8ft wide, liquid runs off through a hole halfway up one side into a soakaway.

Floating at the top of the full cess pool is a 1ft thick 'crust' of 'shit and rag', underneath that are several feet of liquid and underneath that another foot or so of shite, making a 'sandwich'.

In pic you can see the huge suction hose being pushed through the 'crust'.

Just remember I was the trend setter! More importantly they have proper full height urinals in the Blythe, a prerequisite for a good pub and subject of another thread of mine.

When I fitte it I tested it without the tap in place and got a jet of water in my face when the toilet was flushed. Funny! I'd better upload a photo.

Calsug, we had exactly the same dilemma.

In the end we got it done as we were going to rip up the kitchen anyway. It felt like a lot of money, but it's become so useful for little ones and ageing parents/ grandparents who don't want to go upstairs.

Technically you're meant to ask Transco to move the meter, but some CORGI engineers will do it for you. It costs about ?2k on top for Transco to come out..!!

Yes Saniflos are more prone to breaking down, but it's not like you're going to be using this loo 10x a day. I would say do it.

Does the sink provide hot water?

    • Some 4-day party! Sorry, just my view, but I feel random fireworks are really anti-social. If scheduled, with plenty of notice, people who need to can at least escape for the duration (well most people, I guess). I know those who adore fireworks will feel differently, but they can cause so much costly suffering and damage to animals and owners.
    • I was woken around midnight the other night as a Lime man tried to untangle a heap of three bikes someone had piled on my driveway. They block the pavements and people knock them over in frustration. I wrote to Lime and told them that in future any bikes left near my property would be securely stored away for collection at a mutually convenient time for both parties. I confiscated one at the weekend but a man knocked on our door looking to rent it while I was at work and my son gave it to him! I told Lime it's not fair of them to push the problem on to the local collection depots, they create the problem by allowing users to dump the things wherever they like. If they were penalized for doing so that would put an end to it.

"I’m proud to be an advice volunteer at Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers (SDCAS), a community that welcomes and supports refugees, migrants, and asylum seekers in Southwark. Right now, we’re facing the toughest moment in our nearly 30-year history. Unless we raise funds this September, we may not be able to keep offering the hot meals, English classes, advice, and safe community space that so many people rely on. That’s why I’m asking you to support our emergency Crowdfunder: 👉https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/save-sdcas  Even a small donation, or sharing this with your friends and family, will make a huge difference in helping us to reach our £70,000 goal and keep SDCAS open. This place means so much to me, and to everyone who walks through our doors 💛.Thank you for your support in spreading the word.  ... Be sure to tag us @SouthwarkAsylum on Facebook and @sdcascommunity on Instagram We really value your support, £70K is an ambitious goal but we know our dedicated supporters can get us over the line!
