More trees gone on Lorders

Tree-horror! More of the smaller trees were being uprooted and taken away at the weekend on Lorders..what is going on???

Makes me so sad!

That's bizarre, it doesn't strike me as entirely kosher if it's happening at the weekend? Did you see who was doing it?

Annoyingly I didn't write down the name of the company - certainly wasn't Southwark council but I guess they sub-contract it anyway.

The high street and surrounding streets really need more trees - if only to detract from the abundant litter everywhere....

I am a tree-hugger. I got some planted on Goodrich Road. One was vandalised, so I rang the council and asked for it to be replaced. It was duly replaced. Just ask the council, and they provide! Please phone them and ask to go through to the tree planting department. It works!
