My second product warning in as many minutes; sorry to be the voice of doom but I also wanted to warn any Bambo nappy buyers to watch out for super absorber gel on their baby's bottom when changing. These are sold as being eco/skin friendly but when I used them I was horrified to find my little boy's bottom covered in the tiny beads of gel, which is the subject of much controversy over its potentially toxic effects and the reason why many people avoid disposables entirely. Almost all nappies contain the gel, but this is the first time I have ever found it leaking on to the skin. Ethical Superstore refunded me and were very helpful, and this may be a bad batch and therefore a one off, as my sister has used the brand for a while without issue (although she did say that the style had changes so perhaps this is a new problem), but if you do use them, do watch out for any escaping beads on to your baby's skin.

    • Seems to be a lot of victim blaming going on here. Clearly a four year old child should not be riding a bike on a pavement out of sight of the adult who is supposed to be caring for him. Also clearly if the child ran into somebody from behind, he is not ready to be riding a bike in a place where people may be walking. Quite apart from the adult who in this case could have been badly hurt, so could the child. I wonder how those people on here asking how it was handled would have reacted if it had been them? All sweetness and light and apologies for having had the temerity to get in the way of the child? I'm pretty sure I would have been extremely shocked and annoyed.
    • Yes, do report it even if you cannot get info about the owner.  It’s likely that the dog has bitten other people (and dogs) already or will go on to do it again. I’ve been bitten by dogs in the past, owned by people I knew and they had bitten previously. One bit my face when I was putting her lead on. She had recently - about a week before - bitten the hand of a vicar who had been to discuss the wedding of the owners’ son.  The son was a doctor and he advised me to go to the hospital to start a new series of tetanus jabs.  I took his advice.  Unusual behaviour by a dog can also indicate health problems.
    • Another one for Aria! Super helpful. Went out of his way to advise (and fix) other issues that we never discussed and I didn't pay for. Running around ED picking up parts for my odd jobs. Didn't put any mark up on materials.  Clean and tidy. Very reasonable pricing.  Complimented my terrible tiling.  Will be my go to plumber from now on.
