Wooden blocks - where can you get a couple of these cut to a given size?

Is there a DIY/ hardware/ other store you know of where I could get this done? I only need 2 small blocks cut, it doesn't seem like the sort of order that a specialist timber place would even consider.

I need them to be the same dimensions, so finding random blocks is unlikely to work. Plus I don't have any of the equipment myself, not even a basic saw, so getting this done somewhere would be cheaper overall.

In my experience Whitten Timber in Peckham are pretty good at trying to deal with any request - it might not be economic (for you) i.e. you might have to buy a much bigger piece but worth a go.

Agree Whitten Timber, they are also helpful over the phone so you could phone them first to save a possibly wasted visit.

Definitely go to Whitten, they have loads of small wood off-cuts which they will cut down to your exact size, last time I used that service about 2 years ago they charges 50p a cut plus cost of wood...

Amazing - thanks for the advice. Pass there on the bus all the time, but it looked like a place that would only really want trade-sized orders. I'll go and pay them a visit.
