Newly-decorated 2 bedroom duplex apartment in Figueira da Foz, Portugal. Lovely and quite location, minutes away from the beaches, the marina, the centre with its shops, restaurants and bars, the casino and local monuments and parks. Vast terrace & balconies with stunning views to the bridge.

Guest Access


The first floor has an en suite bedroom and another room with a common bathroom with a big bath. The rooms open up to a large balcony with amazing views.

On the ground floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen, a guest bathroom, a large, bright living room with a balcony and a terrace, fantastic for barbecues and to enjoy the sun on the lounge chairs.

Guests have also access to the stunning gardens and children playground.

My Portuguese family will be available to offer you any information on the area or support during your stay.

We can advise on places of cultural interest to visit, what?s on, tourist attractions, where to eat or to shop, as well as providing gourmet experiences, wine tastings or guided tours by request.


The Neighbourhood


The apartment is located in a quiet private condo with superb gardens.

Lovely location, minutes away from the beaches, the marina and the centre, with its shops, restaurants and bars, the casino and the local monuments and parks.

Figueira da Foz is also very well-known for its summer festival and cultural events all through the year.

A nearby mountain also offers fantastic views over the sea, an Adventure Park and mountain trails on foot and BTT and gorgeous observation sites.

You can also enjoy different water sports, including surfing, body-boarding, water-skiing, boat trips and fishing.


Getting Around


The apartment is very well located, in terms of transportation to other interesting sites in Portugal:

Coimbra, a world heritage city with remarkable monuments including one of the oldest universities in Europe and the traditional Fado de Coimbra, which is part of its intense cultural life;

Leiria with all its monuments and its beaches, including Nazar?, the surfers? paradise and the home to Garret McNamara, its bustling commerce and cultural life to get to know and get involved in;

Aveiro is the capital of Art Nouveau in Portugal and the Venice of Portugal, with its Ria and its traditional boats, well known for the traditional convent sweets;

Viseu. in the inland, with its great tradition on the wine production, interesting monuments and a relevant importance in the Portugal History.

There is good access to Porto and to Lisbon by either car or public transportation.


Other Things to Note


The rental includes free secure parking space. Moreover, there is ample off-street parking adjacent to the property.

Pets allowed, cleaning, laundry and breakfast or other meals provided on request per extra fee.

    • If you want to change a radiator and it is the same size, pretty straight forward.  isolate by turning the two valves, one is straight forward hand twist, the other side you need to take the cap off and get an adjustable spanner and turn till closed.  Both clockwise. Use the same spanner to undo the large nuts that fix the radiator to the pipework, open the bleed valve, get a flatish container to catch the water which is likely to be a grotty black, sheets/plastic underneath to protect floor/floor covering.  Then jiggle off, tipping as quick as you an into your water container. Fingers crossed it will be the same back plate fitting.  If not you will have to take the old one off and fix the new one. Replacement is a reverse, allowing the rad to refill and let the air out. No naked flames involved. If it is a different size I can advise on that too.     • I'm still completely unclear what happened, apart from that a car apparently crashed into a lamp post opposite the Co-op. I presume the one in Lordship Lane, though the OP doesn't say. Was it speeding? Did it swerve to avoid someone who ran into the road? Did something go wrong with its brakes or steering? Did the driver have a medical emergency or fall asleep or got  distracted by something? Was there something slippery on the road surface? Was the driver hurt? Were any passengers hurt? Were any pedestrians or other road users hurt? Were there any witnesses?
