I suggest Prisoner of Second Avenue at The Vaudeville on The Strand, with the incredible Jeff Goldblum. Went to see it last night.... and loved it.

For daytime, book a visit to the Dennis Severs Museum in Follgate Street near to Spittalfields Market. It's unique.

Too late for this year , but I hope it happens again next year for everyone;'s diary.

Every Friday this August London Zoo opened late under the imaginative title of "Zoo Lates". Bars, selling wine, beer and cocktails, and caterers selling good burgers, picnics and other good food were set up in tents and it was possible to wander around seeing the animals while sipping a Mojito or glass of Pimms.

All good fun - while watching the "Silent Disco" where all the dancers were wearing headphones and could hear the music but observers couldn't was hilarious. See the "naked ape" ate it's strangest.

Recommended - a little more sun would have helped but still fun.

    • Another recommendation for Oddbods. As proof of our satisfaction we've asked them to return for some more jobs, which is sign we were happy with their work
    • Most of the groceries shops in Lordship Lane have a security presence…curious thing is I and another woman recently saw a shop lifter lift and not pay for a couple of packet of steaks, veg and bottle of wine..  Literally walked Pat the tills, one member of staff and security guard despite someone else going in front by a few people and mentioning person in question! I have to say, speechless and admired their bravado - I would not have the guts and knowing my luck, if I accidentally didn’t put something tru the till despite receipt would prob get stopped! Yes, worked with families, homeless and other people who were struggling for food so I do understand why they do it.. sad when you think about it, that in this day and age, all sorts of c people need assistance and help from community in general, food banks, olio etc….
    • Just not keen to have all these  things  in my body… having said  that, thinking about Covid again as need to come to London to two hospitals for poss overnight stays.
    • And another one, number 6, has just gone passed as well!  I presume that the LTNs are blocking them from a more useful route. Or the surrounding road works.
