Re-pointing and decorating

We have recently made had our windows replaced and now need a decorator to make good the paintwork, inside and out. There is also a little bit of repointing needed. Can anyone recommend a decorator and/or someone to do the pointing? Or, even better - someone who could do both!

Thank you.

Hi,

If you still need a decorator I can recommend George from "Elite builders & decorators" 07511525523/ [email protected]!

We used them for the second time in a year. Good at communicating, we felt fully informed at all times. They were very flexible to our needs. They opened up a wall to make an alcove, they plastered the channels an electrician made, stripped the walls and ceiling of the wallpaper and then plastered everywhere, then painted. The room now looks amazing, fresh, clean, walls are nice and flat and we are loving our new bedroom.

Hope you will find this useful.

Cheers!

    • Thought others may be interested to help a local community centre help others.    My bank account offers roundup and it’s been growing all year. As well as treating myself or putting it towards a train ticket to see my family I’ve made a donation to the Albrighton. They can use donations at any time but I hope my donation will go towards the Christmas hampers.    Can you support them so they can provide Christmas hampers?   https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunityfridge?utm_id=1&utm_term=M22JKQb6W   A donation of £50 will pay for a hamper to feed a family over this Christmas period. A donation of £30 will pay for a hamper to feed someone living on their own over the Christmas period.
    • I've never got Christmas pudding. The only times I've managed to make it vaguely acceptable to people is thus: Buy a really tiny one when it's remaindered in Tesco's. They confound carbon dating, so the yellow labelled stuff at 75% off on Boxing Day will keep you going for years. Chop it up and soak it in Stones Ginger Wine and left over Scotch. Mix it in with a decent vanilla ice cream. It's like a festive Rum 'n' Raisin. Or: Stick a couple in a demijohn of Aldi vodka and serve it to guests, accompanied by 'The Party's Over' by Johnny Mathis when people simply won't leave your flat.
    • Not miserable at all! I feel the same and also want to complain to the council but not sure who or where best to aim it at? I have flagged it with our local MP and one Southwark councillor previously but only verbally when discussing other things and didn’t get anywhere other than them agreeing it was very frustrating etc. but would love to do something on paper. I think they’ve been pretty much every night for the last couple of weeks and my cat is hating it! As am I !
    • That is also a Young's pub, like The Cherry Tree. However fantastic the menu looks, you might want to ask exactly who will cook the food on the day, and how. Also, if  there is Christmas pudding on the menu, you might want to ask how that will be cooked, and whether it will look and/or taste anything like the Christmas puddings you have had in the past.
