I'm fully aware that there is slews and post up the same as this and have already spoken with the original poster for the other thread so please don't slash me for high jacking only difference is I do this for the Evelina children's hospital.

Put a smile on a child's face this Christmas.

This year I've decided to try and make a few children's Christmas a little bit special.

Thinking of all the children who can't spend Christmas at home with their families like you and I will be this year. Would like to try and make their day a little bit special by taking a small gift or some sweets to the Evelina children's hospital. They get no funding to treat the kids at this magical time of year so I'm asking if anyone would like to donate a small soft toy or some sweets/selection box/colouring book/ pens etc I'm sure they would be eternally grateful as would I. I know money can scarce this time of year but any donation no matter how small counts.

I will be going to the hospital a week before Christmas so would ask all donations to be in by 10/11 December so I have time to bag and prepare.

Thank you for reading

That's a great site thank you Mic Mac but you are right that page is not specific to me.

I am personally taking donations to the hospital and seeing if the local community would like to get behind me and donate a small gift/ selection box anything age appropriate to young children who will be there over Xmas I have two drop off points one in Peckham and one in dulwich if people would like to donate x

    • Ohh dear.  Fireworks can be great fun.  Where I used to live the kids would have firework wars/games.  Watching them was more enjoyable than watching  TV. (Which you could hardly hear due to the pops and bangs).  It's not like anyone/anything could stop them. I would still prefer organised public displays that are affordable.   And I agree that fireworks cause problems for wild life, pets and people.   It seems to be one of those things that just happens so we have to put up with it.  But it is still not as problematic here as in other areas in London - that's for sure.
    • I made sure to set off a few today just to rile you guys up 😇😂 Always looking for something to criticise
    • Ugly...maybe..does it bother me..NO! I think its somehow reassuring to see theres still phoneboxes around. East Dulwich may  be getrified but there may well be some elderly people who don't have mobiles and kids who may have lost theirs adults ditto etc etc. I'd rather keep it than lose it...just because i don't use it does'nt mean its not needed.  there are many eyesores in the modern world not all of them as potentially useful.
    • I strongly recommend Balayage salon in Lordship lane as everytime I visit, they make me feel very spicial with thier profisionalism and care.   I have been going there for the last 10 years maybe more, and will never exchange them for any other. They are profisional, welcoming and they also always have an offer. I feel like a new woman every time. X
