Hi,

The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) are trying to fund a project in Dawson?s Hill park. We are seeking your feedback and interest in a potential project to help us design the project and secure funding. It would be appreciated if you could please answer the following questions:

1. Do you currently use Dawson?s Hill?

2. If yes, how often?

3. Do you think Dawson?s Hill adds value to the local community?

4. Would you support a project to improve Dawson?s Hill facilities? The facilities we would like to improve are the following:

a. New natural play area

b. New seating and removing some of the old brick seating

c. Path improvements

d. New signs and information boards at key locations

5. If a project goes ahead do you think you might participate in project activities and events?

6. Would you potentially be interested in being part of a residents group who works with Southwark Council to look after the park?

7. Any other comments

It is good but I can see why it can be off-putting, even a tad intimidating, especially when it is dark. It is great on Bonfire Night/NYE and during the dog days of summer, and when you just want to get away from it all, but there is room for improvement so long as it is not sanitised.

    • I'm a bit of an architecture geek and I must confess I find it one of the most gimmicky ugly redesigns I've seen in a while. I'm always open to quirky but this is just not nice in any way shape or form.

    • Another recommendation for Niko. Great communication, top guy, and super reliable and skilled - all at a fair price. Takes a lot of care in what he does and talks you through everything.
    • Some foxes are very tame. The foxes that live near the electricity sub-station thing on the corner of Calton and Woodwarde will happily walk up to you/passed you. They are some of the best looking foxes around so clearly being well-fed - glorious coats and bushy tails but interested in humans and keen to engage/be fed rather than being scared.
