Amktlk
Hi, has anybody tried the new Grill restaurant on the corner of Matham Grove and Lordship Lane? It used to be a curry house. Menu looks good but never seems busy. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/131477-new-grill-restaurant-lordship-lane/ Share on other sites

Sue
I had a crab curry there on Monday, and my partner had a minced lamb kebab (can't remember what it's called. Kofte kebab??). They do have a lunch menu, which includes a drink, but we ordered from the main menu. The food was fine, the service was friendly without being pushy. We found the loud music rather intrusive, but they did turn it off when we asked (but also said it was because we were the only people in there .....)I think you'd need to try it yourself and make your own mind up.ETA: We never got any of the complimentary stuff. Maybe that was when it first opened or just in the evening? It would be a very heavy roof made from those things..As Michael P from Curry Club put it..'Delightful stone-based serving platters actually.'Like these..http://www.oldtaverncheese.com/content/images/thumbs/0000159_set-of-4-slate-cheese-boards_300.jpegFoxy Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/131477-new-grill-restaurant-lordship-lane/#findComment-1073316 Share on other sites

DulwichFox
sandyman Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> Reminds me of this:> Well the complimentary dishes and all main dishes were served on porcelain plates.. and unlike some other places using Slate we were not charged an arm and a leg for Trendiness. So no complaints.. Foxy Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/131477-new-grill-restaurant-lordship-lane/#findComment-1073360 Share on other sites
