I'm trying to get an activity schedule in place for my 18mo to make sure we don't go stir crazy over winter for the 3 days I am home with her (Tues-Thurs). Mornings are sorted, but it would be good to have some fallback plans for after her nap when the weather is not great and we have to veto the park. Would need to be from about 3pm onwards.

Does anyone know of any groups or activities that are on at this time in the area?

Hello,

I am very excited to announce that my regular drop in music classes for babies and toddlers will be starting in East Dulwich on October 4th! They will meet most weekday afternoons if you're looking for afternoon activities!

Come sing, dance and play percussion instruments with your baby in a relaxing, sociable, positive atmosphere! Babies and upwards including toddlers and older siblings are welcome so the classes are great for a mix of ages and are sibling friendly. The classes are always drop in, ?5/class and will meet every weekday afternoon except Thursdays as well as Saturday mornings at the Family Natural Health Centre above Soup Dragon at 106 Lordship Lane.

Please see the timetable below. Classes start on Monday October 4th. I'd love to see you there!

Monday 2:30-3:30

Tuesday 3:30-4:30

Wednesday 3:30-4:30

Friday 3:30-4:30

Saturday 10-11

All the best,

Bea

    • well they are all very nice and definitely helpful to me.
    • Can't agree with this, some of them appear totally gormless and can't even look you in the eye or say a word when asked a straightforward question about the membership card at the till. The only cheerful person in there is Tom and he'll proactively talk to anyone about anything. That guy deserves more.
    • The person behind the till won't know about whether or not an assignment of their lease has been purchased by a company like Tesco.  Poundland was sold for a nominal fee so it's unsurprising that the location may close soon. As well, for what it's worth, someone working in the shop is likely to have their job impacted by the shop closing, so having loads of people going and asking them about the potential closing of their shop isn't really nice. "Hey, hear you'll be out of a job soon. Know much about that?" The best resource you all should be using for queries about planning details of new shops is the council's website. As was stated on the first page of this post, there's an application lodged for multiple changes at 29-35 Lordship Lane with the client as Tesco. They wouldn't lodge these plans unless it was happening, or at least extremely likely to happen.    The application is on the council's website here: https://planning.southwark.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?keyVal=SVW246KBKF500&activeTab=summary
    • It's a notice about a licence, but the only name on it is Poundland.
