Barry Road Ground Floor extension experience?

Hello,

We are looking to do a side return, wrap around extension to our flat on the ground floor of a victorian semi detached property. Is anyone happy with work they have had done and want to show it off? It would be great to see some examples of what people have done and hear the lessons learned. There's a bottle of wine/ginger beer in it for you as well as getting that warm fuzzy feeling of helping some neighbours out!!

We have an idea of what we want but are exploring the possibilities. We are currently engaging architects and builders to see if we can actually do what we are looking to do and to get an idea of price range. Any recommendations of people to work with would also be appreciated.

Cheers

Roger and Kate on Barry Road.

    • Beansprout, I'm a bit confused here. If you are also looking for a corkboard, please could you start a separate thread?
    • Still looking - normal cork board or a board I can stick things onto please
    • Doesn't surprise me that you expressed your appreciation of foxes. You feel strongly about them, fine. Perhaps they don't leave a nightly pile of poo in your garden or you don't need to deal with it. Life is too short to argue the point. I have neighbours who feed the foxes and tell me the rubbish  they feed them. Foxes are wild creatures, by feeding them [people are making them reliant on humans to feed them. I guess they don't have to clear up their nightly mess. It actually becomes a tiresome chore and hence my loathing of the fox. They are a protected vermin. Don't mess or come into my garden. no problem, leave their mess it becomes an issue.
    • Some folk are constantly putting household refuse, which includes food, in litter bins, which crafty foxes then liberate and eat (as well as leaving non-edibles strewn all over the place). If you’re doing this, please stop and use your own bin!  Why use bleach? It’s harmful to all forms of life. Just rinse the poo away with tepid, soapy water.
