Removal/man and Van Wanted - flat move

Hiya

I am looking for a man and van (or light removal firm) to move from Stockwell to East Dulwich.

I want a cost effective solution rather than full removals (i don't want a packing service etc).

I am moving one bedroom of a three bedroom maisonette, plus "general homewares", and I will have some furniture to be moved (a double bed, large chest of drawers, several ikea kallax units, chairs, a pine ottoman) and a lot of clothes / shoes etc!

My property at the moment is a maisonette above another maisonette, and there is no lift, so it will require a fair amount of time to move everything simply to tackle the stairs / walk along the balcony (there are five properties before mine on the corridor). The stairs are the 'council block' style (concrete and fairly steep)

My new flat is up one flight of stairs, but on the first floor, so much more manageable.

Is there anyone who would like to give me a quote for this? Or is there anyone who has used a company for something similar which they would recommend? I am looking for someone reliable, and I'm asking on here as the few internet searches I have done haven't provided me with a fixed price.

Thanks everyone for your help

Ellen

    • Jazzer, is that link the right one?    Edited to say you have to click in the first post in X to see all the other comments. A lot of very upset residents. I hope Southwark Council, Southwark Events and Cllr Catherine Rose, Cabinet Member in charge of parks and who has supported the Gala event come what may, have a good look at all of this and a rethink.
