Hi,

I travel from Ed or Peckham Rye to Syon Lane to work.

Normally I buy a ticket ?2.60 each way. The journey takes me to Battersea Park where I change and walk to Queenstown Road to get a train which then takes me to Syon Lane. The barriers at the stations beep but the staff are normally happy to let me through as this is considered as one legitimate journey.

I decided to start using Oyster but then get charged for two journeys. One option would be to go Battersea Park to Clapham Junction and then continue my journey from there. This is a real hassle in rush hour.

The other option is to buy a weekly pass but often I don't have to make the journey enough times to make it viable.

Any other options? (apologies for what is possibly the driest thread ever to darken your pixels).

It should be ?2.20 with oyster peak and ?1.70 off peak. Did you check your journey details online? At the end of your journey it should recalculate. Make sure you tape in and out for each stage.

I suspect that if you used Oyster on the 3-stage NR route via Clapham Junction via Streatham Common or West Norwood you'd get charged ?2.20/?1.70.

But Battersea Park Queenstown Road isn't on the list of Out of Station Interchanges (OSIs) recognised within the Oyster system. http://www.oyster-rail.org.uk/out-of-station-interchange-osi/

I do see the anomaly: one of the variants shown on the NR journey planner, for your ?2.60 NR ticket, does include the walk from Battersea Park to Queenstown Road.

I'd seek advice on a specialist forum (one I know of is Usenet's uk.transport.london) if you're interested in pursuing it. It seems that the OSI list isn't absolutely static.

Afterthoughts.

It seems to get even more anomalous. The _only_ ?2.60 NR fare I've seen on the NR journey planner is with the walk. The one via Streatham Common has to be split into two NR tickets for a total ?4.70, for reasons I don't understand. That makes me half doubt that a peak Oyster via the same route would still be ?2.20, but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be, as the standard zones 2-4 Oyster NR peak fare. http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tickets/14414.aspx

The same journey planner seems unwilling to even suggest using a train from Battersea Park to Clapham Junction for your journey. I think they must want you to do the walk.

Enough. Now even I have better things to do.

    • That looks consistent with what I saw when I checked a few weeks ago, after someone raised a fresh thread asking about the progress.  I was about to post here asking if anyone could help with what seemed a bit of  a  mystery.  The planning register didn't show the application as decided.  I couldn't find any minutes of the committee meeting that James reported on last year, or any mention in any other minutes of the application.  The meeting was itself  flagged in the meetings schedule as MOVED (presumably to another date).   Incidentally, I remember one of the atttached planning documents being a report on the financial prospects then pertaining.  As far as I understood and remember it seemed to show the construction for sale of the buildings a ? poor prospect for the investment.  I'm no expert though.
    • Hi sue  so this year I think I fed them a tomato food but only probably three to four times in the summer  don't over water them  I put mine outdoors in about march depending on the weather as long as there's not going to be any frost and bring them back indoors September october-ish or when I think the frost is coming
    • What do you feed it with? Just a general all purpose feed? Clearly I am doing something wrong with mine! They flower every year, but they don't have anything like that amount of flowers!
