Which bowling venue best for birthday?

Hi - we want to organise a birthday party for my soon-to-be 8 year old son. Thought of bowling -- there is Surrey Keys, but I found it quite horrible with all the noise and disco lights. Has anyone tried Megabowl in Streatham? Anywhere else? Needs to be accessible by public transport.


Any other suggestions for birthday party welcome....
