Interactive Storytelling for schools, events or parties

I?m a passionate storyteller with over four year?s experience of working within children?s literacy. I?m also a nanny and previously worked as a Digital Marketer for Bloomsbury Children?s Books. Over the past two years I?ve told tales in libraries, schools, community gardens and at festivals.

The Reading Agency estimate that 1 in 4 children cannot read well by the time they leave primary school. This rises to four out of ten for those children receiving free school meals. The ability to read for pleasure can have a direct influence on quality of life.

I deliver storytelling workshops within classrooms and public spaces, incorporating the teaching of spoken word, creative writing, art and drama as required. The workshops improve pupil?s literacy confidence through collaborative group work, oral language, social and emotional learning, and most importantly, fun.
