BMX bike - condition not important

My 12 year old son's BMX was stolen off him this week (christmas present from two years ago) and I would like to get a very tatty replacement just for knocking about on. If anyone has an old bike with functioning brakes (flat tyres not a problem) in a garden shed or the back of the garage they are looking to get rid of, I would happily take it off your hands for a small sum or a bottle of something.

I will also put this in the Wanted section.

  Do you mean The Dream Machine? Used to sell vinyl and musicians used to go there and play? Don't know about the hifi repair! If that's what you are thinking of, I can put you in touch with the guy who used to run it if you PM me.
