Hi,

I have recently moved into an all electric flat - not huge at all and currently has economy 7 heating.

It and I are not getting along so I am looking at alternatives and panel radiators seem to be the answer.

Does anyone have advice? Gas is not an alternative.!! Sadly.

Really trying to stay warm and be in a position to use heating when I want - I rent so would to convince my landlords/agent.

I am assuming that if panel radiators were an option then one would loose eceonomy 7 rates? No dish washer or washing machine to consider.

Thanks all

From what I knew/know about Economy 7 it's an old style tariff set up to benefit storage heater users, which heat up at night, and then release their heat during the day. It means you can also do things like washing and drying at night, at a cheaper tariff, although unless you run a laundry, what is the point.

If you are paying the bills there, and you don't have storage heaters, then ask the utility company to change tariffs.

    • Why would mice move? It’s not so much they move as multiply and spread    copy and paste rather than cut and paste  mice can and should be dealt with.  But not easily or with guarantees  i would say most people in se22 reading this have mice. Whether they know it or not

    • If a food outlet has a mouse problem then it's likely to stay there until the outlet runs out of food, unless it's adjacent to other food outlets. Why would the mice move? And mice can be dealt with. If you are prepared to pay for it. Which, with some proprieters, is a very big if. I have no evidence that the problem has reoccured in its new inception, although obviously good owners keep the focus on good hygiene. You win the battle but the war continues.
