Bonjour!

If you want to speak French or your child to learn French in the area, L'Heure Fran?aise specializes in bringing French living to you. From classes, to one-to-one lessons and conversation groups, there are many possibilities of learning French!

The French Conversation groups are ideal if you want to refresh and improve your French in a pleasant setting with other French Speakers (day and evening sessions). You can also join our Baby friendly Conversation group to speak French with other parents and sing French songs with your baby or toddler.

The Adult Beginner and Intermediate classes or Children classes make learning in a small group funnier and more interactive.

Or let your child experience a French afternoon in a French family. This is a great opportunity to discover the French language and culture, to practice and gain confidence while having fun.

Bonjour!

I am organising a French afternoon for children interested in French this Saturday from 3 to 5pm at my place (Forest Hill-Cranston road).

This time, we are going to bake a galette des rois, a cake traditionally eaten on Twelfth Night and discover the traditions around it. We will make our own crowns and play board games.

This is a great opportunity for your child to discover French language and culture with a French family, to practice and gain confidence while having fun.

If you would like your child to join a class, we meet on Friday from 4:15 to 5:15 at my place.

Bonjour!

If you would like your child or children to learn French, I run a French class for children aged from 5 to 10 at my place in Forest Hill. It is every Friday from 4:15 to 5:15, but you could come every fortnight if you prefer. We always start with a French snack with the parents who are welcome to speak French with us and then children have their lesson which consist in discovering new vocabulary and making craft activities, singing songs and playing games. They love it!

The lesson costs ?15 for 1 child or ?20 total for siblings. I apply a 10% discount if you prepay 10 lessons.

Please contact me for details at audreyfrenchtutor@gmail.com or visit my website: http://audreyfrenchtutor.wixsite.com/heurefrancaise

I hope to hear from you soon.

We will make crepes following a traditional recipe, make our "chandeleur special" board game and other activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for the children to discover the French culture and French language.

It's ?25 for one child or ?30 total for two.

    • Have you read the OP?

    • Eh? I'm not sure whose post you are responding to, but if it was mine, you  "clearly do not know how much it costs"? I have two granddaughters who have frequently stayed with my partner and myself in London, since the younger one was four. I wasn't commenting on the cost of taking children out in London. I was asking exactly what a holiday science club was doing with the children to warrant charging £242 for five hours! You "clearly" did not read my post!  You don't have to take children on expensive outings. As you say, there are plenty of free/cheap  things for children to do in London, and children enjoy choosing things to go in their packed lunch which they can carry themselves in a little backpack. As for buying toys etc, you can give them pocket money at the start of their stay, to spend how they want, and if they make poor choices and then run out of money, it's a learning experience, isn't it. And I suspect I am at least as old as you, and quite possibly older! But in any case, Pugwash was not asking for general comments, s/he was asking for specific suggestions for a specific boy with specific interests.
