I posted a thread about Drops of Hope which was then locked (I'm actually in West Dulwich so didn't know there had already been a thread about this) - I then posted an apology explaining my confusion but this wasn't posted, so people are going to think I'm a fool - maybe I am, was just trying to be helpful...

Dear..oh dear..I joined EDF today, and already I'm getting a queasy feeling about it all. All this talk about Moderators closing down perfectly legitimate postings, talk of vidictive moderators, etc. etc? All I want to do is sell the odd item I wish to dispose, maybe even give away my overly-big wardrobe for free (collect only!), and keep my nose clean..without riling people up! Unfortunately, moderators are only human, subject to the same human emotions and frailties like the rest of us. But the one most powerful thing they have over us mere mortals..is the power of that finger that will hit the relegate to limbo button anyone of us that tries to step out of line..for whatever reason..haha!

You want a certain rod of iron? Why not try Virtual Norwood. Matt VN will be more than happy to oblige. :)

    • I don't think I've ever seen it used other than for gluing advertising on it. It's definitely not a priority but these things typically get ignored and become part of the furniture (so to speak).  There is a beautiful old red box near Upland Rd. I miss old red boxes... 😞 Anyway I'll have a dig around and see if anything can be done.
    • £30-40 for M&S Christmas food for two seems very low! And only £60 for food and drink for 8-10 people?  We have had M&S food at Christmas in the past, and it came to a lot more than that. I suppose it depends exactly what you are buying. We left it late to book a Christmas Day meal out last year, so there weren't many options left.  The Cherry Tree menu looked very nice. That was our first mistake. We also overlooked the fact that it was a Young's pub, with all that implies about the food. That was our second mistake. We don't have shedloads of money. We  took the view that we deserved a nice meal  out after working bloody hard all year. So it was doubly disappointing to basically waste a lot of money which could have been very much better  spent elsewhere.
    • No sweetheart. It is a fantastic sermon which should be shared. It is a rights-based sermon which received a standing ovation - if you can be bothered to get to the end.
    • Welcome back. What have voting intentions got to do with this thread? And much as you may hate the present incarnation of so-called Labour, as do I,  I don't think it is true that they have "not done a single positive thing for working class people", is it? And how exactly are you defining "working class people", anyway?
