Here is a link to a really easy tasty banana bread. It's also very good toasted with butter and keeps for quite a few days well wrapped. Nice with cream cheese as well. I would suggest making two and let the bananas get really brown before using.

Glad you liked it. If the top gets too brown then cover with foil and/or turn oven down a bit. Loaf pan size, type , material can change how it cooks as can oven temp. You can add ingredients to it but I prefer it without add-ins. It also freezes well. If you have surfeit of bananas going brown you can also freeze them and then use them another day. Just defrost for a couple of hours at room temperature before using.

There is a cookery class for 2-5 year olds at Rosendale CC on Mondays at 10am which is absolutely great - they get all the kids cooking a savoury and a sweet (last time it was ghost-shaped pizzas and pumpkin muffins) and then they sit down and have an early lunch. Very popular so good to get there early for a place, but we've found it really fun and a really good way of trying new foods/recipes

    • Ah sorry, it was comedy.
    • I have never used AI in my life. It's just notes from my forthcoming monograph on light industry in Dulwich and Camberwell 1879-1946 (dates chosen for obvious reasons).
    • Thank you, this really made me chuckle. It's like you met my brother as he would be the one taking more than his share. Plus the 'pikey' chutney is a winner. Unusual as in can't be identified??? Sadly I'm not the host otherwise I would definitely do that I regularly shop in the Cheese Block and am a fan. But as people have pointed out, there is no cheese shop that charges less based on bulk, so Aldi unusual cheeses may be what the familam receive! Yay, so I can get discounted mouse nibbled cheese still! Oooo, now I do love a Stinking Bishop. It actually offends my stepmum by it's stinkiness but luckily she is not one of the attendees at this particular gathering.  This is blooming genius. It's actually my partner who has the biggest issue with buying in plastic so I will have to hide the wrappers from him!
