NewMumintown
Hi,I'm moving to the area with my 8 month old at the beginning of Feb.Which are the best baby groups for having chats and getting to know other mums? Are there any regular meet ups or coffee mornings or anything that anyone knows of?Thanks! lemon2007
HiWelcome to the area. I also have an 8 month old too so would be happy to connect with you. I find the Hoop app quite useful for knowing what activities are on each day. Also the Mush app is useful for connecting and meeting up with other local mums of children with different ages. I'm meeting 2 mums from there today for the first time. lhalldaisy
Hi, I have a 9 month old but unfortunately I'm about to actually relocate to the states. I'm in the same position as very nervous about leaving here and not knowing anyone there!I also have a 3 1/2 year old and I loved The Albrighton centre. Used to go to loads of groups there, some free some like ?2. Lots of mums there to meet.http://www.albrightoncommunitycentre.org/whats-on/Dulwich Library on a Wednesday for baby sing a long, they also do baby toddler group on a thursday.Dog Kennel Hill school do a great messy play.Another great website is http://www.edtots.co.uk/Good luck Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/139682-best-baby-groups-for-meeting-new-mums/#findComment-1097027 Share on other sites
NewMumintown
Thanks so much for the great info and good luck with the move too! The states will be great! People keep saying to me that you make friends anywhere you go when you have little ones, which I'm sure will be true for both of us! esme
There are lots of groups listed on here if you do a search, otherwise just try some local baby classes (check websites like East Dulwich Mummy (mine), ED Tots, ED Mums and Dads and Hoop is a good app for "what's on").This is nappy valley, you'll make friends in no time!
