Hi

Welcome to the area. I also have an 8 month old too so would be happy to connect with you. I find the Hoop app quite useful for knowing what activities are on each day. Also the Mush app is useful for connecting and meeting up with other local mums of children with different ages. I'm meeting 2 mums from there today for the first time.

Hi, I have a 9 month old but unfortunately I'm about to actually relocate to the states. I'm in the same position as very nervous about leaving here and not knowing anyone there!

I also have a 3 1/2 year old and I loved The Albrighton centre. Used to go to loads of groups there, some free some like ?2. Lots of mums there to meet.

There are lots of groups listed on here if you do a search, otherwise just try some local baby classes (check websites like East Dulwich Mummy (mine), ED Tots, ED Mums and Dads and Hoop is a good app for "what's on").

    • Thanks for your feedback - we always appreciate hearing from members about their experience. The pool temperature at JAGS Sports Club is maintained at 29oC, in line with industry guidelines for mixed-use pools.  This temperature has been designed to balance comfort for lane swimmers and families. Air temperature is also monitored regularly to ensure a comfortable environment for swimmers, spectators and staff. The shower Temperature Mixing Valves (TMVs) were changed in December to improve consistency, and we hope this has made a noticeable difference. If you would like to discuss your experience in more detail, please contact us directly at [email protected] or 020 8613 6500 and we'll be really happy to help.
    • One wonders if he would have defected if he had, ahem, held on to the leadership of Southwark and whether he felt that "Labour are no longer the vehicle for social justice" during his leadership election........my how quickly things change in the thoughts of a politician 😉 I think this sums things up quite nicely: A senior Southwark Labour spokesperson hit back: “Local residents can draw their own conclusions about Cllr McAsh’s swift move from Labour leadership hopeful to the Green Party, after he didn’t get his own way. While he’s thinking about his own career, Southwark Labour are delivering for residents.” One wonders if he will stand as a Green candidate in Goose Green.
    • No doubt if he determines to stand for a ward he will enlighten us - at least his track record is one of using this site to communicate (inter alia). I would suspect that (1) his personal views on traffic will have remained consistent but that (2) his views on local democracy and proper consultation will have as well.
    • Yes, but I want to know where he stands on all this stuff now. My feeling is it won't be any different from Labour?
