Floor Sanding - A recommendation

Hi all,

I looked on this site to find a floor sanding company, who all had good reviews. I met with them all, but they were quoting 3-4 months before they could start work.

My neighbours had used The Dust Free Floor Sanding company' and were happy with the work. I got them in, the quote was spot on (right in the middle of 4 quotes - all were within ?150 bracket) and they had availability almost immediately.

TDFFSC finished our house yesterday, and to be honest - I'm gobsmacked. The quality, speed & finish is exceptional. There is not a speck of dust in the house. Our cleaner turned up today and asked if it was a new floor.

Anyway, I am so happy with the work they will be coming back in the spring to tackle our stair case and lounge. If you need a personal recommendation, pls PM me. Happy to speak.

    • Thanks very much for that.   I think the better informed we are, the better our discussions will be. The article contained: "That arrest had quite an impact on the [phone theft] numbers for the following month,” said Green.  Here's another indicator, admittedly a piece of police PR,  of how well-targeted police efforts, mostly invisible to us,  can when successful  seriously affect offending figures: https://news.met.police.uk/news/met-police-drive-down-theft-and-robbery-by-84-percent-in-battersea-and-nine-elms-500495.
    • Another excellent article from Jim Waterson's London Centric reporting https://www.londoncentric.media/p/kitchen-foil-and-algerian-markets?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email Interesting that there seem to be favoured and repeated routes for phone snatching for particular thieves.  Seems ED might be one of them ☹️
    • Anywhere near the Overground/Windrush due to its excellent transport links.  You will get larger place in SE23 for example that will give you enough spare cash for private school if that's what you really want but states schools generally good, reflecting the demographic  Easy to get to the bustling streets of East Dulwich but in ten years see what happens to Forest Hill centre.  The whole of the area is full of green spaces. Access to East Croydon for days out in the South Coast
