Recommendation needed- for wall panelling and handrail

A bit out of my depth here as I thought this sort of thing would be a carpentry job but those I've asked don't do it!

I have the upstairs flat in a Victorian conversion and the stairs up from the front door are walled in on both sides.I want to add a bit of interest with wainscoting/ panelling fitted down one stair wall,and possibly a handrail fitted on top. One wall only so not a huge job.

Please do post any recommendations or message me if you've had anything similar done.
