do u take any notice of them or just find them an annoyance?

Im a hairdresser and planning on doing some local home hairdressing, and have made up a simple and effective flier that i intend on getting printed up and putting in local nearby houses letter boxes?

ive attatched the flier!

do u think it will spark much interest and also what key elements do u think apart from the obvious need to be on it...and what should not go on it?

my website

feedback would be gratefully appreciated

I think that they can be effective, but the hit rate is low. I have used goods and services advertised through leaflets, but most get a cursory glance before landing in the recycling bin.

There are worse ways to advertise a new business. A special offer on the leaflet wouldn't go astray! It might help you gauge the effectiveness of the campaign.

    • Thanks ianr. Does everyone get the same Covid vaccine? Re your other things, I don't think the NHS records  are very joined up in various respects, despite (or because of?) the various NHS and GP apps. If you are in the vulnerable group for flu, and also for Covid, is there any reason why you are choosing to have one jab but not the other? Your choice of course, but as I understand it, both flu and Covid are expected to be very prevalent (can't think of the right word) in the UK this Winter?
    • So what you are saying is that shops encourage shoplifting as it is good for their business?  Rather a curious view. However.... for every stolen good there has to be a market, whether from a shop, burgled house, stolen bike so those buying knock off goods are guilty too.  As you infer. And one size doesn't fit all, petty shop lifting, kids being naughty, those desperate due to poverty - including addicts both to illegal substances and 'legal' including gambling, and those making a business out of it are very different.
