Hi all, just thought I'd let you know, I'm on Solway Road and on Wed night one of my tyres was slashed and both my number plates stolen. I wasn't really sure how serious this was, but contacted the DVLA and police. Also let them know what else had been going on with the cars, and they said they'd inform the community police officers, although they may be aware already?
In January this year ago my car was also broken into on Solway Road. I informed our local councillors about what even then seemed to be a recurring problem. Councillor Aubyn Grahame emailed me to say it would be raised with the neighbourhood community safety team and I asked him in reply to let me know what the outcome was. He never got back to me, so whether any action was ever taken remains a mystery.

I also was contacted about Solway Road regarding dumped minicabs. Although not in East Dulwich ward the residents were at the end of their teather going via other channels ie. Cllr Aubyn Graham.

I visited the site, dragged Caroline Pidgeon along one of the Greater London Authority members. She chased Transport for London which from memory she chaired at the time as to why/how minicabs could be involved in vehicle dumping. Last time I checked the problem had gone...

    • I've just had notification, as a customer, that EE are doing work in Honor Oak on Tuesday 16th (next Tuesday). This will also impact anyone with a virtual mobile operator who uses EE as their underlying operator. Just a heads up that service may be problematical then.
    • Just seen the limping fox in my garden in North Cross Road. Didn't stay for long but looks alert, curious, lively, in good condition, apart from limp very healthy. Of course, having the an injured limb is not ideal but I wonder if stressing him/her by trying to catch it, which will be very difficult, is the best course of action. Edited to add could see no sign of infection, leg looked withered more than injured, maybe a birth defect? I don't know. Any way, is using his other rear leg well enough to rest his front legs on the window sill and peer inside my kitchen.
