After-school childcare help needed 1 day a week in Ladywell area

Do you like: kids, cake, and coffee?

Are you: fun, caring, kind, confident, organised and reliable?

We are looking for someone 1 day a week preferably Wednesdays or Thursdays, from 3pm-7pm, starting from mid or late Feb 2017.

The role might suit a local student or au pair looking for extra work and income, or a nanny with capacity to take on a few extra hours. For the right person, this could also (if you wish) lead to further occasional ad-hoc days, and evening babysitting.

The role involves:

? Picking up our daughter, aged 6, from school.

? Hanging out together in a caf? (extra spending money for coffee & cake provided!); or going to the playground.

? Taking our daughter to her ballet lesson.

? Picking up our son, nearly 3, from nursery.

? Taking both children back to our home, giving them tea, and helping them get ready for bed. One or both parents will return at 7pm to put them to bed.

? This is all within easy walking distance, and a buggy is available for the younger child.

If you're interested in this role, but can't do Wed or Thurs, please still get in touch, as we might be able to rejig our work and other childcare patterns for the right person.

Hourly rate to be discussed and dependent on skills and experience.

    • I'm down about 50% in numbers and more in species since three years ago.  Not sure if it is the weather, continual building works, the quality of my feed or the pigeons and parakeets putting off others.  Good conversation on Winterwatch on feeding tonight, including issues with spreading disease. Three years ago, likely to see long tailed tits, dunnocks, song thrushes, corvids, wood pigeons. black birds, black caps. Possibles - redwings. Unlikely to see any this weekend, only blue and great tits, robin, goldfinches, bloody feral pigeons.
    • Thanks for the information about the wildlife group. I didn't know about that. And thanks to Sue for the links.
    • I got mine through the post with their mag  (I'm a member) but if you haven't signed up yet, you can download a printable guide from the RSPB website (you need to scroll down quite a way). https://www.rspb.org.uk/whats-happening/big-garden-birdwatch
    • I am currently selling via No Flies, very good communication, got 8 viewings the first weekend, a second viewing the following week and a decent offer the second weekend.
