Hi

I have just been offered a place at this nursery after being on the waiting list for over a year. When i put the littluns name down there were a lot of great reviews on mumsnet and lots of people had recommended it. Just wanted to check if it is still as good if anybody has their child there.

I am currently commuting to canary wharf to Little Unicorns which is wonderful and wanted to make sure that I move him for the right reasons.

thanks

My little girl is on the list too and is likely to get a place there as well (also after a years wait!) I was keen when I saw it but have been told that they are going to let in an extra 30 children. I was not so sure that this is a great idea given the size of the communal areas and particularly the very tiny garden.

I also felt the fees were very high. We are looking for a part-time place but there does not seem to be any reduction in price for more days (if that makes sense?) just a daily rate which is quite high. Was quoted ?845 monthly for 3 days a week.

Given all that we may still end up taking up the place due to long waiting lists and a real shortage of nurseries in Forest Hill. Good luck

Lisa

If you do need to think about others, I would recommend the Ackroyd Nursery in Honor Oak. Both of my children have been there and my youngest is in the baby unit. Its a really great nursery. As with all good nurseries, there is a list but i understand that many people change their minds so in reality they are usually not as bad as they initially seem. Worth a try.

Good luck

    • This is a huge part of the problem.   Starmer is only interested in himself, not in what is best for our country.    There's a litany of stuff he's done for spiteful jealous personal reasons which has damaged the nation enormously. Burnham would be a much better leader than of the other dross left behind when Starmer goes. To inflict a worse leader (and PM) upon us for his own selfish reasons would add to the problems and be entirely in keeping with his woeful premiership so far.
    • I heard today there was a burglary in Lacon Road yesterday evening between 20.00 - 22.00,  apparently the owners were home at the time & thieves got away with electrical items along with the owners car!  Wtf!   Anyone heard anything else?
    • What standing on the world stage? Starmer is a wannebe leader, no charisma, no passion, no leadership but tonnes of dithering, wringing his hands and pooing his pants.  I'd love to see Burnham give him a run for his money. Reason he became Mayor of Manchester was due to him no longer wanting to be in front line politics.  This thread has now gone well off topic, perhaps it needs renaming.
