Local breakdown recovery

Engine won't rev properly - think I fried it by connecting the battery the wrong way wrong (I know I know... it was dark...). So it's not driveable - does anyone know of a local garage who are able to tow the car?

  Doctors' strike is hospitals isn't it? You wouldn't normally need a GP for what you would be going to a hospital for? Have I missed something here (quite likely)?
