The money raised will help some of the most marginalised, vulnerable members of our society. Many have experienced torture and sexual violence in conflict. Ourmala provides a safe space to breathe for refugees and asylum-seekers. Their services are all free and they provide: therapeutic yoga classes that improves physical & mental health, nutritional hot healthy lunch - often the only hot lunch one of our service users has in a week, english classes - speaking the language opens doors, access to critical services, safety, food, water, shelter and access to education and other activities. Everyone deserves to fulfil their potential.

    • The programme was brilliant and makes me wary now of sea paddling as so many areas affected. My daughter was working at a bank when privatisation of utility companies were floated. Bank advised its staff that only x number of shares could be purchased by individuals as Government rules at that time. She reported that certain people were seeking double and triple shares. Bank told her to ignore the guidelines as those customers had thousands of pounds in the bank. She was so disgusted at the banks attitude she handed in her notice, She decided that the financial world was too corrupt. Two degrees later - she now works in the NHS as an OT in mental health unit.

    • Petition Urge Israeli Government to stop law allowing execution of Palestinian prisoners The UK Government must act urgently to urge the Israeli Government to stop the proposed law which would permit the execution of Palestinian Prisoners, past, present and future. More details We believe that such a law would constitute complete violation of the Geneva Convention and International Human Rights Law. UN experts have called for these proposals to be dropped. We call on the UK Government apply considerable and substantial political pressure and the leverage of its international obligations to prevent the Israeli Government from passing this law.
